Description

The 4th workshop on Very High Energy Electron Radiotherapy (VHEE-RT) will take place on 15th - 17th September 2025 at the Cockcroft Institute, Daresbury, U.K.

Its objective is to bring together researchers studying VHEE-RT. The workshop will serve as a forum for scientists and engineers from around the world to review the latest developments in the field, to exchange ideas and discuss cutting-edge topics. The workshop will consist of plenary sessions, industry session, student posters and associated poster prizes.

The latest biological, medical physics and machine development aspects will be discussed by experts in the field, and the way forward will be charted. In particular, the steps needed to needed to facilite a VHEE-RT-capable clinical machine will be focussed on. The major achievements in the field, together with the important future challenges will be highlighted.

This workshop is endorsed by ICFA (International Committee for Future Accelerators).

PhD students are invited to submit abstracts to VHEE25@stfc.ac.uk which will be presented during a dedicated poster session. Best posters will also have the possibility to represent their work in a short oral presentation. Financial support for local expenses will be offered to a few students. A written application for a bursary should be sent via e-mail by  29th June to the VHEE25@stfc.ac.uk together with a description of the related work, an abstract of the contribution to the workshop and two supporting letters.

Please let us know in case you need an invitation letter.
