Description

The Quantum Technologies for Fundamental Physics (QTFP) programme  aims to demonstrate how quantum technologies can address fundamental physics questions, such as the search for dark matter, understanding the nature of gravity, and measuring quantum properties of elementary particles. An important objective of the programme is to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration between fundamental physics and quantum sensing communities while offering unique training opportunities for early-career researchers.

The Quantum Technology for Fundamental Physics programme is funded by UKRI STFC as part of the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme. Wave 1 of the QTFP programme funded seven large consortia in 2020/21 and additional 17 projects in 2022.

The workshop will take place at the at the Mazumdar-Shaw Advanced Research Centre (ARC) at the University of Glasgow.

The workshop will  bring together the QTFP community to review the programme’s achievements, strengthen and expand the network, and exchange ideas on its future direction.

This meeting is dedicated to the memory of Prof. Ian Shipsey
