SONAR 1: First Workshop on SOftware for NegAtive-muon Research
Virtual Workshop

Recent research developments in non-destructive elemental analysis, the extraction of absolute nuclear charge radii, and muon catalyzed nuclear fusion have been using negative muon experiments. Computational modelling has played an important role in these developments, but the modelling activities have happened in different places, have relied in a set of diverse modelling codes and some of the modellers have not had the chance to interact with their experimental counterparts.
We organized this "SONAR 1: First SOftware for NegAtive-muon Research" workshop to give the community the opportunity to get together and discuss in detail the role of software on negative muon research.
The workshop will take place on April 15th, 2024, and its scope will include discussion of the uses of negative muons on different research areas and which are the computational needs for these areas.
