Student Day

The student day will run on Sunday 28th August 2022, with the layout taking on a slightly different form then that of previous editions. The day will start with a one hour lecture intended as a brief introduction to muon spectroscopy and the various global facilities. The students will then take over and the rest of the day will be made up of 15 minute (a 12 minute talk + 3 minutes for questions) talks given by individual students on topics relating to their PhD research and their use of muon spectroscopy to solve problems. The preliminary time table will be as follows:

12:15 – 13:15 Lunch

13:15 – 15:00 Student Talks

15:00 – 15:15 Tea Break

15:15 – 16:30 Student Talks

Students are encouraged to submit abstracts for posters or oral presentations for the main conference. From these a few will be selected to also give an oral presentation on the student day. Limited Conference support is available for Early Stage Researchers upon request and subject to attendance of the Student Day.
