To register for the conference, and to submit abstracts and papers, you will need a Indico account. If you do not have an account, the easiest way to set one up is to click on the 'login' tab at the top right of this page and follow instructions.
Conference fees are as follows:
- Full registration (early bird, up to 29 February 2020): €480
- Full registration (registering 1 March 2020 onwards): €580
- Student registration (at any time): €350
- Accompanying person (at any time): €50
- Conference Tour (before 6 July 2020): €45
- Conference Dinner (before 6 July 2020): € 50
The full registration fee includes the welcome reception (5 July 2020), publication of contributed papers, and covers lunches and coffee breaks throughout the week. Student registration carries the same benefits. Registration as an accompanying person includes the welcome reception and coffee breaks, lunches may be purchased at cost. All registration fees include a week city bus ticket for travel to the conference venue.
The conference excursion and dinner (8 July 2020) are charged extra for all participants. If required, these options should be selected and paid at the time of registration.
Registration will be complete when the conference fees are received. So please be sure to pay promptly once the registration form has been submitted, and please allow up to 48 hours following payment for processing your registration. You will not have full access to the site until the registration process has been completed.
There will be a small amount of money available for supporting and encouraging the participation of students in µSR 2020.
If you wish to be considered for this support, please request a ‘Student Bursary’ during conference registration and provide contact details for your supervisor who the conference organisers may approach for a letter of recommendation. Students requesting this support will be expected to submit either a poster or oral contribution to the conference, and to attend the student day (5 July 2020).
There is a limited amount of shared hostel-style accommodation (located in the city) available to students, the cost covered by the bursary award. The accommodation may be requested on the registration page, and the conference organisers will confirm availability by email at a later date. Please do not assume you have campus accommodation until availability has been confirmed.
How to make payment
Online payment is preferred
After completing the registration form, you should receive an email confirming the amount owing on your account. You can pay your account as follows:
- Online card payment at CA-PagoPA, with Anonimous Access (detailed instructions for completing payment available at here). Note that the bank will make a €2.5 administration charge at time of payment.
- By international bank transfer. Note that if this payment method is chosen during registration a €20 surcharge to cover bank transfer costs will be added to your account.

Cancellation requests received before the registration deadline, 31 May 2020, will not incur a cancellation charge. However, an administration charge of 5% the fee paid will be deducted to cover banking costs.
Cancellation requests received after the registration deadline will incur a cancellation charge of 50% the fee paid.
Cancellation requests received after 31 June 2020 will incur a cancellation charge of 100% the fee paid.
Substitutions will not incur additional costs.
