Electric Vehicles

Electric vehicles (EV) are increasingly becoming a real option for many and we have our own EV charging points on campus. 

Travelling by bicycle

Cycle shelters, showers and changing facilities are available to visitors and staff.

Travelling by bus

Commencing 23rd January, a new bus service will come into campus. The X30 service, operated by Arriva and currently running along Chester Road (A56) will divert into campus during the morning and evening peak periods, connecting Sci-Tech Daresbury with Warrington Centre.

Here’s a summary of all the bus services available from Sci-Tech Daresbury:

All-Day Service

200 (Arriva)

This service offers a circular route between Runcorn (including both train stations), Murdishaw, Windmill Hill and Sci-Tech Daresbury.

Generally, there’s one service per hour with some additional services in the peak periods, including extensions from/to Widnes on some early morning and late evening trips.

Peak Time Services

10 (Howard’s Travel)

This service operates between Warrington (including Bank Quay station), to/from Hatton and Stretton throughout the daytime, serving Sci-Tech Daresbury at peak times.

There are two inbound journeys in the AM peak, and three return journeys in the PM peak.

62A (ASHCROFT’S)

This service operates between Warrington and Stockton Heath to/from Runcorn via Sci-Tech Daresbury at peak times.

There are three inbound services from Warrington Interchange in the AM peak and one return journey in the PM peak.

X30 (Arriva)

This service connects Sci-Tech Daresbury with both Warrington and Chester in the peak periods.

Due to the ongoing road works on the A56 the X30 (ARRIVA) will be operating on an alternative timetable from Monday the 2nd of December 2024.

From Warrington, there is one inbound journey in the AM peak and one return journey in the PM peak.

From Chester via Frodsham, there is one inbound journey in the AM peak and one return journey in the PM peak.
