The Laser-Plasma Accelerator Workshop (LPAW) is a biennial international conference on novel laser-based acceleration techniques. Held for the first time in the 1990s in Kardamili (Greece), it has become one of the most important conferences in its research field, gathering more than a hundred researchers and students from around the globe. Its recent editions were held in Wuzhen, China (2011), Goa, India (2013), Guadeloupe, French Caribbean (2015)), Jeju (Korea, 2017), Split, Croatia (2019), Algarve, Portugal (2023) and Ischia Island (Naples, Italy, 2025). LPAW meetings have become known for opportunity to present and discuss high-quality research and ideas in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. In the the 2027 edition, we intend to focus on the transition of plasma accelerators from a pure R&D area into a technology base for many large-scale facilities under development. Plasma accelerators offer several disruptive capabilities for a wide range of fields- from manufacturing to medicine. In this workshop, we intend to have dedicated sessions on their applications, bringing together the potential user base of such applications with the scientists working in this area and companies developing the associated technologies.
