Description
In this poster we present two examples of our recent work making use of semantic technologies for materials related projects: first, a web application for materials data integration from different web-based sources, then the automated generation of D-CAT datasets starting from given files/folders, keeping the structure as provided by the users.
The DOME 4.0 (1) project has developed an ecosystem to connect web-based data and digital service providers. Broadly speaking, the considered use case involves data on material (chemical and physical) properties, information about purchasing raw materials, and relevant existing patents. It allows to simultaneously query multiple web-based reliable information sources and combine their answers, making concrete steps towards a unified view of information. Also, the information is packaged in a friendly UI (dynamic table) that facilitates data navigation, and can be customized.
The BatCAT (2) project is developing digital twins of battery manufacturing. Here we show initial work to automatically generate D-CAT (3) datasets starting from files or folders provided by the user, such as, for example, physics-based model parametrizations or manufacturing/characterization data. A Python tool processes a batch of files/folders and produces JSON-LD (4) files for each of them. Standards are used for the domain-agnostic part, and BatCAT ontologies (LBCO) (5) for the domain specific ones. The template will iteratively be extended to include further domain specific information.
