Physics Opportunities with the MESA Facility

Europe/London
Description

This half day workshop will be held in-person at the University of York on July 1st, 2026. The event is intended to bring interested UK researchers together to discuss prospects for the upcoming physics program at the Mainz Energy-recovering Superconducting Accelerator (MESA), which is scheduled to commence physics operations in 2027.

The organisers hope this workshop will generate interest in UK groups participating in MESA, either by contributing to existing experiments, or proposing new ones, building on a strong legacy in the UK of participation in the program of the Mainzer Microtron (MAMI).

There is no registration fee, and this page will be updated with new information as the program is formed.
