ALC-DLS Modelling and Simulation Workshop

Europe/London

Description

In early consultations with facilities, simulation and modelling capabilities, theory enhanced experiments and theability to support users incorporating modelling and simulation was raised as a priority.   The goal of this meeting is to explore these opportunities, challenges faced by the facilities and their users and for ALC to understand the larger strategic goals with the aim of defining collaborative opportunities with ALC.

For the meeting, we would ask you to consider and provide priority science cases, user cases or strategic goals for integrating modelling and simulation and examples of issues or shortfalls which are hampering delivery of these goals. This is with a view to defining activities with ALC to meet these strategic aims.

The theory team will be available all day for discussion. In the morning, we would like a general discussion with group leaders, and we would then like to meet with specific group leaders and anyone from their group with an interest in developments in this area for discussions on their priorities and potential projects (timings of these meetings and calendar invites to be confirmed)
