ICUIL conferences provide a venue for discussions among representatives of high-intensity laser facilities and members of user communities, on international collaborative activities such as the development of the next generation of ultrahigh intensity lasers, exploration of new areas of fundamental and applied research, and formation of a global research network for access to advanced facilities by users.
The ICUIL 2026 programme committee calls for abstracts for talks (keynote and invited), oral presentations and posters on the conference topics.
We invite abstracts for talks that relate to the ICUIL 2026 conference topics.
Contribution types
Keynote addresses
These will be arranged by invitation and timings will be agreed with the speakers.
Invited talk
invited talks will be 30 minutes long, followed by 10 minutes for questions and discussions . Each invited talk should have a single speaker.
Oral presentation
We encourage abstracts for interactive workshops that explore the conference topics in depth. Workshops are 1 hour in length and may have one or more facilitators.
Posters
Two poster sessions will be available at ICUIL 2026.
Conference topics ICUIL 2026 are:
- Multi-petawatt facilities and beyond
- New enabling laser technologies, metrology and diagnostics
- Novel laser-based particle and radiation sources
- Combined sources (high power lasers with other drivers)
- Application of secondary sources
- Application of AI and Machine Learning in optimisation of lasers and
secondary sources - Advancements and laser development for fusion
- High harmonics, attosecond generation and few cycle lasers
- High field science
- Innovative optics, beam shaping, pulse engineering
