Description

This is a face-to-face workshop for UK-based scientific Ceph users. It's an occasion to discuss our experiences with Ceph storage systems.

Ceph is a mature storage technology, proven at scale, and sufficiently flexible to support extremely diverse use cases.

The goal of this workshop is to provide an opportunity for UK Ceph administrators to share experiences, learn from one another, and establish some connections.

We will have talks from institutes running Ceph, a Cephalocon report from Tom Byrne (RAL's storage architect), and plenty of time for open discussion and a chance to share some war stories.

After the formal element of the meeting is done, we will adjourn to a nearby pub for further discussions.

This meeting will be held in parallel with CIUK's day 0, but is not affliated to or endorsed by the CIUK meeting.
