An overview of Scientific Computing’s current capabilities/activities in Simulation and Modelling of Materials and Molecules
Presented by Gilberto Teobaldi, Theme Lead for Computational Materials and Molecular Science
This seminar will provide an overview of the breadth of modelling and simulation projects within the Scientific Computing Department, showcasing projects conducted with the STFC large-scale facilities, the capabilities and expertise that could potentially be exploited by the facilities and the opportunities for future developments.
The Ada Lovelace Centre is currently seeking to engage with facilities to develop a new programme aligned to the strategic needs of the facilities. This seminar is intended to increase awareness of the Computational Materials and Molecular Science activities and prompt discussion on potential projects and activities which could enhance the science performed at the facilities. The webinar will be followed up with facility workshops in April/May for more detailed discussions on potential projects.
