DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Brij Kashor Jashal (STFC\, RAL\, PPD)\n\nThe 28th In
ternational Conference on Computing in High Energy Physics (CHEP 2026) bro
ught together over 600 researchers from particle physics experiments and c
omputational infrastructure projects to discuss the most pressing computin
g challenges facing the field over the next decade. As the Large Hadron Co
llider enters its high-luminosity era and next-generation experiments begi
n data acquisition\, the computing demands have reached unprecedented scal
 es—requiring innovations across data storage\, real-time processing\, ar
chival strategies\, and heterogeneous computing architectures. This talk su
rveys the key findings and technical progress presented at CHEP 2026\, spa
nning four main areas: (1) the WLCG computing roadmap for HL-LHC\, address
ing distributed data management and compute optimization across global col
laborations\; (2) prompt processing paradigms that leverage GPU accelerati
on and machine learning to reduce data volumes while preserving physics re
ach\; (3) emerging archival and metadata strategies for multi-exabyte data
sets\, balancing long-term preservation with efficient recall\; and (4) cr
oss-domain insights from AI acceleration\, cloud computing\, and heterogen
 eous infrastructure. \n\nhttps://indico.stfc.ac.uk/event/1950/
