Description

Abstract: The chiral spin-chain model provides a surprising new framework for studying quantum geometry, quantum chaos, and information processing. In this talk, I will discuss the key properties of the chiral spin-chain model and demonstrate its role in connecting condensed matter physics with emergent black hole phenomena. By replicating spacetime geometry, including Hawking radiation, and exhibiting optimal scrambling, a hallmark of quantum black holes, the model offers a robust platform for addressing fundamental questions in quantum gravity. As an application, we implement the Hayden-Preskill protocol, which uses Hawking radiation and optimal scrambling to transfer quantum information encoded inside the black hole by Alice to Bob, who remains outside.
