Description

In line with the new UKRI mission, STFC must demonstrate its ability to drive productivity and growth in the UK economy. Our pioneering scientific research ensures that the UK remains competitive globally and our collaborations with UK businesses supports regional development and increases job creation. This seminar will consider how PPD can use knowledge generated from the science programme to work on industry-led projects and diversify income streams into the department. Topics covered will include funding available, strategies for small projects, consultancy opportunities, and the STFC business development process.

 

Biography:

Alexandra is the Business Development Manager for the Technology Department (TD), having worked at STFC since 2017, she has spent the last 4 years managing TD’s engagement with industry.  Alexandra’s work generates additional income for TD to reinvest in pioneering innovation. Her focus is on commercial opportunities that can translate STFC’s scientific excellence into sustainable revenue and industrial impact.
