Over the past 5 years, R&D activities aimed at the improvement of Nb3Sn coating technologies for SRF systems have gained increasing support from the European Union within projects like iFAST, iSAS and EPITA. The ultimate goal is the development of high-Q Nb3Sn-coated cavities for conduction-cooled cryomodules and further technology commercialization. This requires a significant effort for bridging the gap between research and industry. RI Research Instruments GmbH (RI) has a long-term interest in advancement of SRF technologies and a broad collaboration with research institutes world-wide.
