Description

The lecture will move from the motivation for the Higgs Boson, through the LHC machines, Higgs discovery and the state of knowledge today, to briefly look at some of the implications and next steps. In this lecture for RAL summer students, the aim is not to update previous talks but introduce the topic for people who haven't had much on this before - whilst trying to be current.
