The 7th FELs OF EUROPE Workshop on FEL Photon Diagnostics, Instrumentation, and Beamline Design will be held in Liverpool, United Kingdom, at the Liverpool University Guild of Students. The dates are Tuesday 2nd September to Thursday 4th September 2025.
PhotonDiag 2025 will cover the following areas of photon delivery and measurement to science experiments on advanced, accelerator-based photon sources:
- Photon diagnostics – all techniques for measuring the spatial, spectral and temporal properties of photon beams. Includes diagnostics for science experiments, temporal synchronisation, and machine / beamline set-up and optimisation.
- Photon beamlines & optics - including beamline design, performance simulation, optics metrology, and alignment techniques.
- Detectors for all photon beam properties and all aspects of science experiments - including invasive and on-line measurements, one- and multi-dimensional detectors, and measurements at high repetition rates,
- Computation techniques for beamlines and diagnostics - including open-source software developments, machine learning, multi-parameter optimisation and data handling.
