Description

This talk will give an overview of research undertaken at the University of Liverpool to develop gamma-ray detection and imaging systems for deployment in cancer diagnosis and therapy. The techniques translate from the core STFC funded nuclear physics programmes, in which it is necessary to extract gamma-ray interaction energy and position with high precision. The talk will introduce the techniques and give examples from partnerships with the NHS and industry.
